Track runner. Trained in Kenya, Won the Snowdonia Marathon 2018, PB Berlin Marathon 2:20:20
I must have been 9 or 10, in Primary school. I decided I wanted to beat a bully in the race in sports day. So after school every day, my mum timed me running around the park. It was only 400m, and I only did 1 lap, as fast as I could, but I got faster every day. I won the race, beating the boy, I realised I enjoyed running and training for something.
Some days I am all gizmo'd up, GPS, MP3, Drone (!), other days I love just going out with a pair of trainers vest and shorts.
Spaghetti bolognese, easy on the parmesan!
I was the Little Athletics coach for a Primary School. One day all the kids started chanting for me to race the football coach. I had to be dragged over there, the whole school was watching. I have never been so nervous for a race. It was the classic 'to the wall and back', we were neck and neck at the wall. I turned well, and won. Big cheers an high fives, very proud.
