Just to point out here, I'm totally blind but this doesn't stop me from living a full and active lifestyle that includes being able to run. I have completed a few Triathlons and would love to take part in a 24hr event of some sort if I can find a willing guide!
I started to get a real feel for running when I went to an athletics track in Sheffield South Yorkshire, I was 11 years old at the time.
Well, as I need to be guided say if I'm running in town or anywhere that is busy the most crucial thing I must not leave behind is my running tether! Without it I would be pretty much snookered to say the least!
If I have a big race coming up like a marathon I need to carbo load. I think it's important to be fueled up certainly a day or so before hand so, I love pasta dishes for that.
Completing my first ever marathon. It was the Kent Road Runner Marathon, I wanted to give up but I am glad I didn't.
I do have other little hobbies outside of running. I love amateur Radio and I also enjoy sailing from time to time.
